School of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences Division, Fu Lab
The Fu laboratory mainly Studies how nuclear receptors sense environmental clues and regulate Gastrointestinal (GI) homeostasis in healthy and diseased states. Specifically, Fu lab is interested in how dietary and microbial-induced bile acids are sensed by Farnesoid X Receptor (FXR) and dynamically affect intestinal development, differentiation, and inflammation, focusing on colorectal cancer (CRC) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
Discover the fascinating world of bile acid biology in Bilelogy 101! Learn how bile acids and their receptor, FXR, play crucial roles in gut health and are linked to diseases like Inflammatory bowel diseases, Colorectal cancer, and Liver diseases. A beginner-friendly peek into groundbreaking research!
