Dr. Paula Cody is board certified in both Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. She completed her Pediatrics residency and Adolescent Medicine fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Cody also completed a Masters of Public Health at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She is currently Medical Director and Section Head of Adolescent Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where her clinical interests include adolescent reproductive health, medical management of eating disorders, risk taking behaviors, and decreasing health disparities among adolescents.

Eating disorders
In this session, Dr. Cody will discuss the role of the medical provider as part of the eating disorder treatment team. Eating disorder diagnoses and medical complications will be reviewed.
Risk taking behaviors in teens
In this session, Dr. Cody will review trends in adolescent risk taking behavior, including substance use, sexual activity, and other safety topics. Tips for communication with teens about sensitive topics will also be discussed.
Contraception in teens
In this session, Dr. Cody will review the pros and cons of different types of contraception. Tips for communication about sexual and reproductive health will also be discussed.
