Morgan is a Geographer who came to the UW in 2013 after five years at the University of Kentucky. Before that, he worked at Environmental Protection Agency Headquarters developing wetland protection policy. He does research on markets in environmental credits (like wetlands and species and carbon), wetland restoration, and the conflicts between economic and scientific approaches to nature. He has also worked as a consulting botanist and burn manager on wetland and prairie restorations around the Midwest, and has had extensive research experience with environmental policy in England and Australia in addition to the US.
