Mark Sidel is Doyle-Bascom Professor of Law and Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a specialist in US-China relations as well as philanthropy and the nonprofit sector in the United States and in Asia. He served with the Ford Foundation in Beijing, Hanoi, Bangkok, and New Delhi and has consulted widely with international agencies, foundations, nongovernmental organizations, and other groups.
