Katherine McMahon has earned a BS/MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and received her PhD at University of California Berkeley. She arrived in Madison 2003 and will never leave, “I love Wisconsin so much!” Dr. McMahon has two elementary age children and her husband works in Madison at Cellular Dynamics International.

  • Microorganisms are all around us, including in our water. Many of these organisms are useful and not harmful. How do they affect our lake water quality? How can we use them to remove pollution from our wastewater?
