Judd Kinzley is a professor of modern Chinese history at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is the author of Natural Resources and the New Frontier: Constructing Modern China’s Borderlands, published by the University of Chicago Press in 2018. He is currently working on a new project on US-China economic relations during World War II. He has published widely on business history, the history of mining and geology, and China’s role in World War II.
