I have worked in higher education financial administration for the last 34 years. I have been at UW Madison for the past eight years. Prior to that I was the budget director at the University of Chicago for eight years. Other institutions that I have worked at include Brown University, Harvard University, and the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

The University of Wisconsin Madison is a $5 billion enterprise and the largest employer in the state of Wisconsin. My talk with include a discussion of the source of revenue for the budget, what the money spent on, and some of the tangible benefits we can point to as a result of recent investments. We can also cover the major milestones in the annual budget cycle.
