Molecular machines that safeguard our chromosome tails

Every human cell contains chromosomes with protective caps called telomeres, similar to shoelace tips that prevent fraying. Over time, these can shorten, leading to cell aging and disease. My talk will explore molecular machines composed of proteins and enzymes that maintain these vital telomere caps, ensuring chromosome integrity.
