Dr. Anthony Garcia-Prats is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison since 2019 after living and working in Lesotho, Tanzania and South Africa for 13 years. He is a global expert in pediatric tuberculosis (TB) and leads international research focused on improving treatment and access to child-friendly TB medications. His work bridges clinical care, research, and policy to advance global child health. He also holds a Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professorship and serves as Principal Investigator on several major international studies.
