Talks:

Overcoming Decision-Making Bias

This presentation addresses how biases can influence the strategic and tacit knowledge that a decision-maker brings to a task. People may show flawed thinking and judgments, but they can learn to understand and detect their biases and use that knowledge to minimize consequences.

Effective Interaction Skills

In this presentation, participants will learn tactics, techniques, and procedures for successful engagement with people from very different cultural backgrounds, people with mental illness, and others. Participants will explore effective ways that interaction skills can be gained, practiced, and demonstrated.

The Science of Irrationality: Unlocking Behavioral Insights for Practical Application

In this workshop participants will learn about a variety of tasks that psychologists have studied to uncover behavioral tendencies, including irrational behavior, biases, and risky behavior. Envisioned as a half-day workshop, participants will derive implications for ready application to their practice.
