Anastasia is a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in the Astronomy department. Her research focuses on observing and characterizing the atmospheres of gas giant exoplanets through the use of transit spectroscopy. She is the host of Astronomy on Tap Madison as well as a prolific public speaker in the Madison science community. In her free time when she isn’t studying the stars she is playing hockey or writing music and poetry to pass the time.
