Dr. Engle is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Medical Physics and Radiology at the University of Wisconsin (UW) with affiliations in Chemistry and Engineering Physics. He has 20 years’ experience in radionuclide production, accelerator targetry and radiochemistry, PET imaging, and radiopharmaceuticals development. He trained as a postdoc at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and in 2016, Dr. Engle assumed leadership of the UW Cyclotron Research Group. His research is focused on production of radionuclides that are useful for diagnosing and treating disease.

The University of Wisconsin is helping to change the worlds of cancer diagnosis and treatment, dementia management, and pain imaging with new, radioactive drugs that are better and safer than current techniques. This talk describes how we use our cyclotrons to do it.
