Corey Jackson, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s School of Computer, Data & Information Sciences (the Information School). His research sits at the intersection of computational social science, human–computer interaction, and public interest technology, where he uses mixed methods and data science to study how people interact with large-scale social and algorithmic systems. He is particularly interested in designing participatory approaches to AI and data governance that better reflect community values. His work has been published in leading venues including CSCW, ICWSM, and CHI, and has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
