Brianna Van Matre is an instructor in the Department of Life Sciences Communication, specializing in design, social media, and digital marketing. She teaches undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. students how to communicate complex scientific ideas effectively in digital spaces. Her research focuses on persuasion, behavior change, and social media information-seeking related to climate change, human health, and the intersection of science and art. She earned her Master’s degree in Life Sciences Communication from UW–Madison in 2022 and has professional experience supporting international environmental nonprofits through strategic communication initiatives.
