Claudia Solis-Lemus grew up in Mexico City, where she completed her undergraduate work at the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico in Actuarial Sciences and Applied Mathematics. Claudia received her Ph.D. in Statistics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and then a postdoc with the Department of Botany. After that, she completed a postdoc at Emory University in the Department of Human Genetics.
