Tongcheng Qian graduated from Peking University in Beijing, China with the major of Biomedical Engineering. Currently he is a postdoctoral fellow at the Morgridge Institute for Research. His research is focused on human pluripotent stem cells. His hobbies include road biking, photography, and gardening.


  • Human pluripotent stem cells (hPSC) can generate any type of cell. Here, we use hPSCs to generate blood-brain barrier endothelial cells and cardiomyocytes. By utilizing hPSC-derived cells, we can potentially study disease mechanism and drug screening.
