Tongcheng Qian graduated from Peking University in Beijing, China with the major of Biomedical Engineering. Currently he is a postdoctoral fellow at the Morgridge Institute for Research. His research is focused on human pluripotent stem cells. His hobbies include road biking, photography, and gardening.

Engineering Stem Cells for Regenerative Medicine
Human pluripotent stem cells (hPSC) can generate any type of cell. Here, we use hPSCs to generate blood-brain barrier endothelial cells and cardiomyocytes. By utilizing hPSC-derived cells, we can potentially study disease mechanism and drug screening.
