She works primarily with undergraduates, especially those who are new to academic research. Her research and professional interests include the history and philosophy of librarianship, critical pedagogy, the undergraduate library movement, and library work as social justice work. She has published work in the Library Juice Press anthology The Feminist Reference Desk, Ada: A Journal of Gender, Media, and New Technology, and JASIST. Raina received her MLIS from UW-Milwaukee and a BA in English from UW-Madison.

His work has been featured in Harvard Ed Magazine, CNN, NPR, the Smithsonian, Hulu, and elsewhere. He won the 2021 Inspire Award given by United Airlines & the National Association of Asian American Professionals, and the 2023 Community Trailblazer Award given by the Asian American Foundation. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Education Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Wisconsin–Madison as an Education Graduate Research Scholar. His debut book “Teaching the Invisible Race: Embodying a Pro-Asian American Lens in Schools” through Jossey-Bass / Wiley Publishing is out for pre-order!

She is the co-editor with Sarah A. Robert of Transforming School Food Politics Around the World. Gaddis is an advisory board member of the National Farm to School Network and has written op-eds on school food politics for popular media outlets such as the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, The Guardian, and Teen Vogue. She and her students regularly partner with school districts, labor unions, and social movement organizations on community-based research and advocacy projects related to food justice in K-12 schools. Dr. Gaddis is an active member of the Healthy School Meals for All Wisconsin coalition and a regular partner of the Madison Metropolitan School District.

Guthier joined the Wisconsin Union in 2001, becoming the Union’s third director during the organization’s almost 100-year history. As the Union director, Guthier coordinates with staff and students to provide direction for the Union and its many events, programs and services. Guthier began serving as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs in May 2019. In this role, Mark oversees the Center for Leadership and Involvement, as well as leads alumni engagement and development efforts for all of Student Affairs. Previously, Guthier served as the assistant director for activities and events at Indiana University’s Memorial Union. During his time there, he also taught courses in student union management and law as an assistant professor. Throughout his career, Guthier has been committed to expanding the roles of students in decision-making processes. Guthier has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a doctor of law degree, both from Indiana University.

Lori Kido Lopez is an Associate Professor of Media and Cultural Studies in the Communication Arts department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also Director of the Asian American Studies Program at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Lopez is the author of Asian American Media Activism: Fighting for Cultural Citizenship and Micro Media Industries: Hmong American Media Innovation in the Diaspora, editor of Race and Media: Critical Approaches, and co-editor of the Routledge Companion to Asian American Media. Her work examines race and ethnicity in the media through a cultural studies lens, deploying ethnography and interviews to examine the way that Asian Americans and other minority groups use media in the fight for social justice.

She received her bachelors degree in Education, with an Area of Concentration in American Indian Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She received her MLS & MLS Advanced degree in American Indian Librarianship from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received the Women of Color in Education Awards from UW-Madison & the UW-System in 2009.
