An award-winning professor, keynote speaker, trainer, and consultant, Dr. Moses Altsech has over 30 years’ teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate level. As a consultant and researcher he has worked with dozens of clients from over thirty industries across the US and overseas, and as a speaker he has received praise from business and community leaders and–to his great delight–one Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Dr. Altsech’s talks can also be offered in Greek and French.

Paul Aylesworth

Paul Aylesworth directs the Affordable and Sustainable Housing Development track of the MS-Real Estate program of the Department of Real Estate and Urban Land Economics and James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate. Aylesworth has a background as an affordable housing developer and teaches the Affordable Housing and Applied Affordable and Sustainable Housing Development Courses in the department.

Mary Beth Collins

Mary Beth Collins is the Executive Director of the UW-Madison Center for Community and Nonprofit Studies, where she works with her team to advance community-engaged research, teaching, and outreach on community efforts, civil society, and the nonprofit sector. She is the author of the Civic Health of Wisconsin Report, and has experience as an attorney, community volunteer, teacher and course designer, global researcher and collaborator, and nonprofit professional.

Alexis Eastman

Dr. Eastman is a Clinical Associate Professor in the UW Division of Geriatrics. Having done all her medical training at UWSMPH, she couldn’t imagine any other workplace would be as fun, so somehow convinced them to give her a job and never plans to leave. Her clinical practice focuses on primary care of older adults, with additional clinics in memory care and pre-operative evaluation. Additionally, she currently serves as the Senior Medical Director for ambulatory medical specialties at UW Health, overseeing the clinical operations of non-surgical specialty clinics, and as medical director of Badger Prairie Health Care Center, the Dane county nursing home. Her academic work has mainly been in curriculum development and education, particularly of medical students. She is actively involved in public outreach and education across the state. In her spare time, she’s an avid, possibly obsessive, gardener who has never met a tomato she didn’t like.

Prasanta Verma Anumolu

Prasanta is an accomplished author, speaker, and community development and public health professional focused on economic resilience, food systems, and social connection. She researches and leads efforts to improve food access in Wisconsin, strengthen social connection and address the loneliness epidemic, foster economic resiliency, and build healthier, more connected communities.

Her book, Beyond Ethnic Loneliness, was a Finalist for the 2024 Foreword Reviews Book of the Year and speaks into the loneliness epidemic, the need for social connection, and bridging understanding. Prasanta is passionate about making our communities healthier and better connected.
